WhatsApp & AI automation · Egypt and the Gulf

Stop shipping orders that come back.

I build the systems behind online stores: WhatsApp order confirmation before every cash-on-delivery parcel leaves, an Arabic AI inbox that answers "بكام؟" with the live price and stock, and a back office that runs on its own. Built in n8n, tested scenario by scenario before launch, and run on infrastructure you own.

The problem

Cash on delivery is how your customers pay. It is also where your margin leaks.

65–70%

of e-commerce orders in Egypt are paid cash on delivery.

SuiteFleet, Sep 2026 [1]
20–35%

of COD orders in Egypt fail on the first delivery attempt. You pay the courier both ways.

SuiteFleet, Sep 2026 [1]
15–25%

is the usual COD refusal rate in Saudi Arabia, and higher in some categories.

OnTask industry analysis [2]
21×

more likely to qualify a lead answered within 5 minutes than one answered after 30.

MIT / InsideSales lead response study [3]

Every refused parcel costs shipping twice and locks up stock for a week. Every DM answered tomorrow is a sale that went to the next shop. Both problems have the same fix: answer on WhatsApp, at once, in the customer's own dialect, and only ship what the customer confirmed.

What I build

Five systems, each one aimed at money you can count.

Every build runs on the official WhatsApp Cloud API, never on unofficial libraries that get numbers banned. You own the accounts, the data and the server.

Tested · 12/12 scenarios

COD confirmation on WhatsApp

Every cash-on-delivery order gets a WhatsApp message with three buttons before it ships: confirm, cancel, change address.

  • Reads Egyptian, Saudi and English replies. A bare "لا" asks before cancelling.
  • One reminder after 2 hours, never between 22:00 and 09:00. "No reply" after 24 hours goes to your call list.
  • Tags each Shopify order cod-confirmed and keeps your own tags.
  • Daily report at 21:00 and an alert if anything fails.

Built for a live store

Arabic AI inbox for Instagram and WhatsApp

A free replacement for ManyChat that answers the questions your team answers 50 times a day, with numbers that are always current.

  • Finds products by name, scent or brand, even in Franco: "bkam el kahilan".
  • Reads the live price and stock the moment a message arrives. Says "last piece" when it's the last piece.
  • Claude only steps in for unclear messages, and it never quotes a price itself.
  • Hands complaints to a person and stays quiet for 12 hours after you reply yourself.

Store back office

Order intake with server-side pricing, one-click approval by email, admin panel, stock holds, auto-cancel, review requests, daily currency repricing and a safety net that emails you when something breaks.

Quoted per storeRuns for about $17–40/month in hosting and messages

Lead qualifier for real-estate brokers

A WhatsApp assistant that answers listing enquiries at 2 a.m., asks one question at a time, scores the lead hot, warm or cold, and hands it to a named agent.

Ad hooks and scripts

10 tested hooks and 3 short scripts in Egyptian or Gulf Arabic, written for the first 2 seconds of a Reel, TikTok or Snap. Delivered in 48 hours.

EGP 2,500–4,000 · $80–150Monthly: 40 hooks + 12 scripts, EGP 6,000–10,000 · $300–600

Femme.byHer: a Cairo perfume shop, automated end to end

An Instagram perfume seller with 144 products, prices that move with the riyal, cash on delivery and InstaPay, and SHEIN group orders. Every order used to live in DMs. I built the store, the order system and the inbox bot.

Live at femme-byher.pages.dev. The back office runs on its own server; the Instagram and WhatsApp bots switch on as Meta approves the shop's number.

What I built

  • A bilingual store with a 3-question scent quiz, product links, a WhatsApp button, cash or InstaPay checkout.
  • Order intake that re-prices every order on the server, so nobody can edit a price in the browser, and blocks spam.
  • One-click order approval by email, then an admin panel for paid, packed, shipped, delivered or refused.
  • A live catalogue feed, so the website and the bot always show the same price and stock.
  • A morning job that pulls the riyal rate and warns about any product whose margin got too thin.
  • Timers that cancel unconfirmed orders after 24 hours and ask for a review 3 days after delivery.
  • A server with HTTPS, a firewall, key-only SSH, two-step login and encrypted nightly backups kept 14 days.

عايزة هدية لماماThe gift boxes, with prices
بكام كحيلان ودخون ليذر؟Both prices in one reply
عندكم عينات؟The 400 EGP discovery set, plus its 14-day credit

Most answers come from rules in about a second. Claude only picks the product on unclear messages. The price always comes from the shop's list.

WhatsApp COD Confirmation Bot

One n8n workflow with 72 nodes that confirms cash-on-delivery orders from Shopify or any store, answers questions with Claude, tags orders, sends reminders and reports, and alerts the team.

Each scenario ran inside n8n with real data tables. WhatsApp, Shopify, Claude and Telegram were simulated until the client's accounts are connected.

One config file per client becomes a full set of tested workflows. State lives in PostgreSQL with all-or-nothing updates, so duplicate or simultaneous webhooks can never confirm an order twice.

Interactive demos and the pilot report

Before you commit, you see your own store name in the demo. During the pilot, you upload your Shopify export and get before-and-after numbers you can check yourself.

All figures on these screens are sample data and are labelled that way. Real numbers come from your own export.

Your numbers

What refused parcels cost you each month.

Move the sliders to match your store. The result is an estimate to discuss on a call, not a promise.

Egypt is often 20–35% on the first attempt [1].
Your assumption. WhatsApp-confirmation vendors report 25–40% fewer fake or refused orders [4].

Hooks and scripts

Words that sound like your customer, not like a translation.

An ad has about two seconds. I write hooks in Egyptian and Gulf Arabic, built on the buyer's pain, an objection, a number or a visual proof, with a script for the winners. These four come from a worked demo for a fictional Saudi water-bottle brand.

Pain · Saudiمويتك تصير حارة بعد ربع ساعة في السيارة؟

"Your water's hot after 15 minutes in the car?"

Objection · Saudiتقول 89 ريال غالية؟ احسبها معي

"You think 89 riyals is expensive? Do the maths with me." That is 0.24 SAR a day.

Call-out · Saudiإذا دوامك في الشمس، هذا الفيديو لك

"If you work in the sun, this video is for you." It filters for the exact buyer.

Curiosity · Saudiخليت المطارة في السيارة يوم كامل، وهذا اللي صار

"I left the bottle in the car for a whole day. Here's what happened."

Gulf copy gets a native-speaker check before delivery.

Who this is for

Brands that sell on Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp and ship cash on delivery.

I research every brand in the Meta Ad Library before I reach out. This month I reviewed 87 leads in Egypt and the Gulf. Several brands were still running the same ad after 347, 530, even 760 days.

Perfume, oud and bakhoorPrice questions all day, gift seasons, authenticity doubts.
Food, nuts, dates and sweetsBundles and offers that need a clear answer fast.

Delivery and grocery appsMany ad variants and constant offer changes.

How we work

From a 15-minute call to a system you can measure.

  1. Audit

A 15-minute call. I read your store, your ads and a sample of your DMs, and name the one leak to fix first.

  2. Build

On your accounts and your server. Your dialect, your prices, your delivery rules.

  3. Test

Every scenario simulated before a customer sees it. You get the test report.

  4. Pilot

14 days live. The report compares refusals before and during, from your own export.

  5. Run

Alerts when anything fails, encrypted backups and a short monthly report.

About

I came to automation from operations.

I'm Mohab Mohammed Nagib Hossny, based in Egypt. Before building automations I trained in technical procurement at Orascom Construction and in supply chain at AluNile. That is where I learned what a missed delivery really costs.

So I measure automation the way an operations manager would: parcels that came back, minutes to first reply, money kept. I write the Arabic myself, I test before I launch, and I tell you what isn't covered yet.

Questions owners ask

Before you book the call.

Will WhatsApp ban my number?

I only use Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API with approved message templates. Unofficial tools that log in as your phone are what get numbers banned, and I don't use them.

Will it sound like a robot to my customers?

Replies are written in Egyptian or Gulf Arabic, in your shop's voice. Anything unclear or emotional goes to a person, and the bot stays quiet once you join the chat.

Can the AI quote a wrong price?

No. Prices and stock are read from your own list at the moment the message arrives. The AI may help pick which product the customer means. It never writes a price.

Where does my customer data live?

On your own server and accounts, behind HTTPS and a firewall, with encrypted nightly backups.

What if something breaks at night?

Every workflow has an error path. You get an alert with what failed, and failed messages are retried and logged instead of lost.

I'm on Salla, Zid, EasyOrders or my own site, not Shopify.

The bot also takes orders from any store through a protected webhook. If your platform can send an order out, it can be confirmed on WhatsApp.

Book a call

Send me last week's refused orders. I'll show you where the money went.
